Latest Recipe

Bangkok has embarked on a new interactive, constantly adapting culinary experience grounded in five cooking stages where chefs create dishes live to order at Le Meridien Bangkok’s Latest Recipe.

Latest Recipe departs from the conventional hotel atmosphere, and physically stands apart with independent access from the lobby by a glass lift, in which sounds of nature stimulate a sense of adventure. Inside the contemporary restaurant diners sit at white marble tables set on bases of stainless steel. Patrons play a more participatory role in Latest Recipe’s dining discovery, arriving at stages and placing their orders directly with a chef, who prepares the dishes live and presents them on classical white plates.

Thai executive chef and local celebrity, Nachart “Nine” Tengkanokkul, oversees the chef stages where the latest global cooking styles are employed to create the tempting original tastes of world cuisine with fresh ingredients. Chef Nachart will also prepare special orders if diners seek something off the menu board.

Along with the cuisine ordered, the day’s signature dishes will be presented by waiters dressed in chef’s uniforms who wander the restaurant offering samples to guests.

For breakfast, guests are greeted with an “eye opener”: a shot glass brimming with vitamins and a cup of cappuccino. Breakfast stages feature wood-fired ovens baking pastries and breads and a choice of egg dishes and cold cuts presented in a setting similar to a traditional butchers shop. Signature dishes originated by legendary Chef Jean-Georges are integrated into the breakfast stage menus, which can cater to executives in a hurry or tourists who want to relax over a meal.

Latest Recipe is open daily from 06:00 – 23:00 and family tables are available. Chef Nachart also teaches cooking classes using recipes that guests find particularly appealing. Upon request guests can take away Latest Recipe cards, which are available at the restaurants worldwide. Frequent guests can collect the cards and keep them in a special recipe box.
